Hey guys, dont know if its a rumor or not, but heard that St. James will be opening another campus on the island of Anguilla in the British West Indies starting this fall.

Has anyone heard about this and are there any students who will be starting there?

ive heard rumors too the school is shutting down. and the students will be forced to join another school. ive heard nothing about a new campus.

It seems the Dutch require an alternative location for the school so the school can keep running in case of a natural disaster or something. I think Sint Eustatius had to do the same thing.

It doesnt have anything to do with natural disaster. Its about NVAO accreditation which St. James is not able to obtain.

So what's the consensus...are they moving or not?!?!!?

It is meaningless to state that a given medical school in NA has or has not been accredited by NVAO. Function of NVAO is to guide and direct the medical schools in NA to reach a given academic standard of education. Such guiding process invariably involves several site visits over multiple years. They also closely watch the intention and method of operation of schools to determine the sincerity of the management. All accrediting agencies all over the world operate this way.
