Exclamation New Students Summer 2008

Hi everyone, right so, I created another thread but put the wrong title on it, so here is one with the right title.
Thought I would begin a thread for the upcoming semester since no one has done so this far.

FYI, classes begin on Friday the 9th, first class should begin at 8 Am, so be on time.

Orientation is on Thursday May 8th at 8AM at the school. Everyone must attend orientation. Please be on time, there are some paperwork for eveyone to go through and you will be meeting the faculty. There is also some information the SGA would like to go over with you guys. So everyone, please ge here by 8 Am.

Also, every semester the incoming class gets togather a cople of days before orientation and has lunch or dinner so they can meet everyone. If you guys are interested, post here, and I will make reservations at the Garden Cafe or City Cafe. let me know who and how many plan to attend, so we can get seating.

If you have any questions, please post it in this thread and I will respond to you as soon as possible.

One more thing, I am on the island for this break, so if you guys that are here, or for those arriving over the next few days, I will be in the school from 10 AM till 12 Noon Mon-Fri, if you guys need anything, come by the school and I will try to help you.

I look forward to meeting you all.

I am starting MAY 08...but i wont be there until Wednesday Evening around 845p.
I was there a month or so ago for a visit, so i was able to find my way and get familiar with everything. Was trying to ask about the agenda/schedule for the registration...but couldnt get anyone so i just booked last minute.

if by chance i happen to get there in time and everyone ends up at the city cafe...i will come by to find everyone. So please let me know.
Thanks.

See you all in a week!

Mikel

You don't have to come for orientation, I think you moved on to MD2 as there are only 4 who strugled with histo and embryo, you're not one. also, I am not sure of the schedule yet, I'll ask the dean on the 5th when he gets here and post here.

Psssshhhhh, city cafe and garden cafe? you kiddin? you know those are the only places that can take 30 people at a time, anyways that's how we do it....

when are you flying in?

By the way, if there are any students who have not purchased books yet, try to buy them at local bookstores, don't bother with University books online this late in the game, it takes them too long to get here and you can't afford to be without them. If you can't find the books, we have all the books on PDF so you can use those if all else fails.

Good luck to you all.

What should we bring to the orientation? Also, other than the usual immigration papers and such, is there any other paperwork that I should be aware of when coming into the Bonaire airport?

Just bring a pen and some paper to orientation, there is not much paperwork to worry about, a few things will be done during orientation. Also, wear light cool cloths and comfortable shoes,, as we will be going on a tour and you should be as comfortable as possible.

Look forward to seeing all you guys there.
