Hello everyone!...I am from New Jersey...and am too in St. James for Fall 08...How's everyone doing on loans and stuff?...Anyone tried Sallie Mae?...tips and leads are appreciated!

Hey everyone, I am also in for fall 2008, from Montreal, Canada...Am I the only Canadian ehhhh Have not received my package yet? Is there more info in there? Stressing out about housing? Any input is appreciated.

Hey guys! I got accepted for Fall 08. I'm from FL and wanted to see if there was anyone from FL that was going to SJSM in September. I will be going to the island in a few weeks to check out the school and secure housing and transportation. Any advice?

Hey KAS

I think that you'd be better off with the stafford subs. and unsubs. loans, that should cover tuitions. Sallie Mae has a very high interest rate, so if you can hold off on SM then I would try the Staffords. You will have to request Stafford to send the funds directly to you b/c the school doesn't have a loan program. Also, if you can get your parents to co-sign on a loan--try for a private loan.

I'm starting in Fall too

I don't believe we can get stafford loans? or any federal loans at all.

We pretty much can't get any financial support at this point. I've talked to all the private lenders and all I got was a sorry but that school isn't on our list but goodluck!

I applied for fall 08, i had my interview and everything went well. I think I got in but the thing is my Professor haven't send my LOr yet so I cannot know the final decision until they recieve my LORs
