Thread: Transfering out of Saint James

Anyone know the real fact of transfering out of SJSM. So far from the student handbook (which not many students know we have and is available for download) says that we submit a tranfser application, and then a committee decides if our transfer is valid, then if approved you can. so i am not clear on a few things, anyone have any experience on this process?

u should ask the xavier university branch in bonaire on how to transfer, you may be lucky to find if maybe the few that do transfer there there go on these forums on valueMD. Im sure they can tell u all about the steps needed to transfer.

Check (anonymously) to see what the financial penalty is. If I remember correctly, this school has a policy of making you pay a few thousands dollars for the priviledge of transferring out.

This transfer 'fee' is one of the highlights of this school. (Another is that a school official pretended to be a student at one time.)

There is a "transfer fee" err. penalty that the shool charges if you transfer to another school within 50 miles or so..>***? They got some court on bonaire (go figure) to give them a judgment tha if a student transfers to the other school, then the student has to pay the "fee" If you want your transcripts. Other students have transfered out, some paid some didn't I don't know the inner workings of their stories. You best get in touch with the overlord, I mean Chicago and see what the deal is. I'm still waiting on my unofficial transcripts that I requested 3 months ago. God knows if those will ever come in, so good luck with your official transcripts.
