Thread: is this school legit...

the campus at this school looks like an old strip mall in a 3rd world country.........if you can even call it a campus............who the heck would go here anyways?

Its not the building that matters, its the education you receive. Don't focus on what the school looks like, but more about the deeper reasons to join this school.

and i go to this school, and so do about 150 people currently on campus and lots more in clinicals. So actually yes... people would want to come here.

just done come here if u dont want to. MANY others have successfully completed their education here and are in clinicals. i myself have had cousins who have gone in and out of this "strip mall" as you say, and have all gotten residencies in new york, chicago, and texas. dont bring immature derogatory remarks to this forum. people like you shouldnt even consider pursuing medicine. and also...every island in the carribean except the Virgin Islands is considered a thrid world country......

Notice the person who started the thead has 2 posts and was the permanantly banned. He/she obviously joined ValueMD to do some bashing.

Shame on them. Either bring intelligent discussion to the table or don't say anythying.

We just like to come to the island and walk around with our thumbs up our you know whats.
Are you kidding? if the school wasn't legit does anyone really expect the ValueMD community to leave it be? i mean take one look at the CMU forum.
Besides that, last I checked IMED (about 2 minutes ago), hey what do you know, there it was, Saint James School of Medicine.

Come on people quit wasting time, go look for something else to do with your time rather than wasting ours.

Besides the fact that they create MDs and one of the students who graduated in 04 had 99% on USMLE1, what issues do you have with sjsm?

The OP (original poster) was found to be a known trouble maker. So take what the OP says with less than a spec of salt. It is true a St James Student got a 99% on the step 1 exam. Now the question you need to ask is how did the student do it? One well know student who knows this student - told me he had dropped out of a US school many years ago due to family issues. Came back to St James and is now in clinicals living his dream of become a MD. St James if you work hard will get you your ticket to USMLE. They will meet the requirements for you to become a MD. Don't expect anything fancy or deluxe. It is not a Ross or SGU with super duper lecture halls. Go visit the school so you have no illusions of what you are getting yourself into.

Tell me Sir what are the parameters that is used to make one island third world or otherwise.

I had a Biochem teacher that taught that they were two worlds.......this one ......and the next.

I dont know, but I notice that in first world countries there is more crime, and thievery. More murders, more kidnappings, more rapes etc

I found Bonaire to be a safe quiet place, though I wont recommend St James to anyone.
