Thread: Anyone get their student loan money yet?

anyone receive the money from school and wondering if anyone knew when we could expect it if at all with all the trouble this place has been having with funding?

disbursments usually occure 1 mth prior to school starting

Yeah i mean from st james. already got an email from them saying they got my money and paid my tuition. just wondering if i am ever going to see the rest of it. their email said it would be deposited "soon" so in st james terms that could mean in december!

I received the same email I think. Mine also said soon so not quite sure when that will be....hope in the next day or two so I can get some more books and stuff lined up. Shipping takes forever here, anyone know how often they deliver mail (is it Mon-Sat like in the states or less often)? On my way to the post office but figured I'd ask here real quick incase someone was on that knew....Sumozmom,glad to see you are back, how are things going with St E.?? Hope they are treating you better!!

It takes about a month to get anything from the states.

Then why do they bother having people sign up for direct deposit and telling them it is going to be deposited into their accounts if it takes them a month, guess they just like collecting the interest!!!!???????????

i called school to ask about the same thing...the prob. with mine was they didnt tell me it was a wire transfer...ppl make sure u give them wire transfer routing no. for the bank..i gave them direct deposit routing no. for my bank...no wonder i didnt get the money yet...
