I am getting tired of people talking bad about the Profs. at SJSM!! Especially the one recently on the SJSM Forum on their website. I didn't know what to belive SOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo......

I started doing basic independent research into the backgrounds of the faculty listed on the College's website. Any reference to Medway International is in reference to time with St. James not that they are in any way still affiliated with them. They are not.

ALso, if I have the wrong credentials due to a duplicate name: PLEASE PM me and I will look into it and change it. Provide reference please!!

First and foremost is the Dean of Academic Affairs: Vladimir K. Berezovskii MD, PhD. He did go to Harvard. He has published/or involved in at least 18 abstracts/reserch project in Neuroscience.
And he has done some seminars related to Neuroscience also. Seems very credible.



Basic Sciences

Not certain about Dragan Micevic MDhaven't found anything on him thusfar. Could have went to school in Canada, saw some mention of him there. However, it might not have been him just duplicate name. He is not listed on the old Medway International Site.

Gil Apacible MD, I guess he has been there a while, he was listed on the old Medway site. I have nothing on him yet.

Alper AtaseverMD PhD, Not listed on the old medway site. Could be Alper Atsever of Inonu University in Turkey who was involved in some experimental research, published abstracts. Was part of the medical Faculty. This needs to be verified.

David M. Keyes, MD, Ph.D Not on old Medway site. Nothing found on him yet.

S. Balasubramaniam, MD on old Medway Site. If it's the same one, he was a Dean in Madras India for 2 years at the Teaching Hospital there. He is the Chair Head for the AAPI's(American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) Ad-Hoc committee: Disaster & Trauma Management.Published Abstract: Post-nasal space oncocytoma: a different approach to a rare tumour .His credentials are lengthy. Will not list them all. Seems Credible.

Robert Van der Veen, MD On old Medway site. Nothing on him yet.


John **** Roa, MD Not on old Medway Site. No info on him yet.

Dr. Ishak Shahied, Ph.D If it is the same person. Faculty at Zarephath Christian School in Biology, Earth Science, Physical Science. May have written a book in 1977 called Biochemistry of foods and the biocatalysts.

Joshua *****, Ph.D Not on old Medway Site. Nothing on him yet.

Mr. Cornelis Jasperse Not on old Medway site. Nothing on him Yet.

Mr. Victor Oleana Not on old Medway site. Nothing on him Yet.

Seeing from the email i see that u know about medway international, the former admission office of sjsm in canada. I was wondering whether u had previously or at the moment contacted them regarding sjsm. According to wut i heard sjsm broke of its ties with them since they were not following USA standards. they had only one class room with class hours about the same as bonaire campus but no library anything. and to make matters worse their tution wus the same as in bonaire campus.also their program took longer time to complete than on the bonaire campus. I was suspicious of that at the begining and delayed my application to check them out. Anyway, I was wondering if u had heard about anything y they split up with sjsm and now are preparing to open their own school in bonaire in june i beleive. I heard that due to them splitting a lot of the staff and faculties at sjsm got affected as they left and are currently being replaced.

regarding all the rumors that is going on. I frankly think they are basically wut they are only rumors not the truth. I myself have heard of simliar short commings at sjsm. but wut interests me about the school is the staff and faculty also notices them and are doing their best to overcome it. I suggest we think of sjsm similiar to kaplan/ princeton. they are recognized, honest, knowledgable and are only there to provide u with the tools u need to pursue a medical career. when all is said and done,unless u pass the US tests which only u can do for yourself. u won't be able to practice in the US period. So, i guess stop worrying about all these nonsense that is going on and get back to concentrating on your studies like u should. sjsm will grow in due time by the time u graduate.

Yeah I knew something of it before. When I was checking it out my info suggested that the man(Mr. **********) running the startup campus in Canada was recruiting students against the guidelines of the home office. I think students being recruited were being recruited under false pretenses which in turn hurt the credibility of the SJSM so they severed their ties.
What the reason for such a gross deviance in behavior was by Mr. ****, I don't think we will know in this forum. I am certain it had something to do with some sort of internal politics. Either way, I think in the long run disassociating themselves from any shady dealing is the fortuitous thing to do. It may be a setback but at least they don't end up with credibility problems to overcome like Spartan has to deal with. Nothing against the quality of that school's program mind you.......

On the forums, hell, you hear every story imaginable. Some the truth, some false, some half truth.
