Thread: Anguilla Housing Assistance Jan. 2012

Hi Everyone,

If you are an incoming student to SJSM Anguilla, congratulations on your acceptance!

If any of you are in need of assistance with finding housing, please feel free to talk to me. As an incoming student almost 8 months ago, I found my apartment through another student who was helping students find housing and I am now returning the favor by offering my assistance in doing the same. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have general questions/inquiries or are simply trying to find a decent place to live. I look forward to speaking with many of you and meeting all of you next semester! Enjoy the holidays!

Hi Androsynth,

In regards to online sites to find housing, there are not very many. If the school hasn't done so already, ask them for the contact information for the campus coordinator and he will give you one website, which is SPI Relate Estate (or something like that) where you can sea a few places and get in touch with an actual Real Estate agent the school uses named Stacey Porter, but it definitely isn't an all inclusive listing by any means. Many/most students find housing by coming early and searching around for things with the help of other students like myself or even meeting up with Stacey Porter who I previous mentioned. I know my response to your post is a little late (sorry, the end of this semester has been a bit crazy and classes just ended today), but if you still have specific questions or need help feel free to message me your email address and I can help you however I can. I am looking for a one bedroom apartment near anguilla campus.My price range is 600-700 (including electricity). My husband is coming with me so I don't need a roommate. I will appreciate it greatly if you can help me find an apartment. Also, since we are arriving on the island on 8/21, we were also looking for a cheap hotel until we find apartment. Thank you!

Has anyone successfully sent a wire transfer to Stacey at SPI real estate? She gave me the wire transfer details, but it's missing account numbers, and my bank says that a wire transfer can not be sent to a PO box. I know plenty of students have used Stacey and SPI before, so I know it's possible. Just looking for some help or advice.
