The only real way to get any housing is to go to the island. Most places won't rent to you unless you are there. They want a deposit and getting them the money is very hard. Go early and see for your self, remember this is an island and not the US. Ideas can be very different about the definitions of condition. They aren't lying they just have different standards.

My husband (MD3) and I have a spare room for May in our very nice apartment. We have a car and can give rides to and from school. You can negociate about gas money if you want to use it for other things. The room is $500 all inclusive. The apartment is fabulous- pool, amazing view, granite counters in the kitchen... You must love dogs- we have 3, and we have a cat. The landlords want to meet and approve before you move in. Let me know if you're interested, my Yahoo name is Mandylibre.
