list of things to bring to SGU?

Hey all,

since someone asked whether we should bring sheets/pillows, I got to thinking: is there other stuff we should definitely bring down there with us, considering cost/need etc?

Cheers,

Silenthunder

The list...

On the SGU "SO" (Significant Other) website there are pretty comprehensive lists both of things to bring, and things to wait and get there:

there's also a post on pg 2-3 of this forum by drnick07 titled "stuff to bring". i thought most of it was pragmatic.

things to bring down...gloves..

ok, so we're told to bring down a box of gloves for anatomy lab. and in the manual sent to incoming students, it says latex gloves, and that vinyl gloves are not recommended. I guess I'm being picky with all this time that I've been relaxing and looking forward to january, but does this vinyl/latex issue matter? whats wrong with using vinyl gloves in lab? for some very strange reason i havent been able to find latex ones. Mind you I was the one who commented on hearing ridiculous questions at the ny orientation. anyway, i bite my tongue. thanks

gloves

considering Dr. Jordan recommends not wearing gloves at all ("you get a better feel"), i would say it doesn't matter . . .

i would go with nitrile, as they are most resistant to formaldehyde . . .
