You can get a small microwave rice cooker for $4 at Ross. Cooks rice in 10 in the microwave!

Shipped computer and stuff

I shipped my desktop, monitor (flat panal of course), and printer through Fed-ex. If you do bring a printer, bring enough printer cartridges with you as they are expensive. Also, be sure you have a power module that will support 120/240 and 50/60. If your printer did not come with one, you can order it from the company (at least you can from HP). There are several compact mobile printers on the market that work very well. I am glad I brought my printer. Also, do be afraid of shipping your desktop down. Mine arrived the next day through Fed-Ex. It wasn't too bad ($150) for shipping and I got away with paying $200EC in Customs (about $80US).

Besides little things like gum and snacks, I wish I had brought more soap and deodorant. Never realized how much of those I used at home. Something weird here how when you put your soap on the little rack, it gets wet and when you go to use it the next time, you have to wash away the top layer which got all soft. Wastes like 10% of the bar already....lol

Who Jaywalk! O-ver share!

LOL, if you avoid putting your soap on "the little rack" it doesn't get soft like that. Also it depends on what kind of soap you buy-if you spend a little extra for the good stuff (Olay or Dove) it is really good for your skin (esp when you are exposed to sun alot) Just get a soap caddy (you know, those little boxes for traveling) and pour the excess H20 out before you close it up.

It is Dove, the white one....hehe. Dial bars get mushy when its wet (like wax). Dove falls apart.
