From what I understand, a laptop is at least essentially required and I think the last thing that I received from Bay Shore said that a laptop is officially required.

I saw that the booklist for 1st termers includes a copy of MS Office, but then I read a thread where someone had to buy it from the bookstore. Do they include Office with your books in 1st term? I made the mistake of not getting it for my laptop and just haven't felt like laying out the $250 for it.

I would buy it before you get down here-the bookstore does have a markup. I would also get the office professional pack that comes with power point.

I'm vet, not med so I don't know. I'll see if I can get EMT to come over and answer for you.

Wow, an invitation... I feel so special :-P

In any case, I did get a copy of MS office with my first term books many moons ago, but I don't recall what's on it, since I sold it, because I already bought Office with my new computer

In any case, they seem to be still giving it out. From this term's official book list:

Microsoft Office - Student Version (CD ROM) Contains: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Photodraw, and Front Page

I think it was $35 when I was 1st term...
