Another very important thing to bring 1st termers..........which I unfortunately learned the hard way...................

BRING THE BACKUP DISCS THAT COME WITH YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I and a number of friends had our computers go berserk on us. (One even had to spend a few hundred EC to get it fixed at the computer store)

My computer had some problem with the hard drive about 1 week before finals......and I could not fix it unless I had my backup utility discs that originally came with it.

I didn't feel like checking to see if this has been listed yet or not... But I was bummed that no one stressed to me the importance of an alarm clock that runs ON BATTERIES ONLY! Not one that plugs in with a battery backup. If it plugs in at all, you will lose almost 10 minutes every hour. Their electric cycle is not the same as the US runs on.
