If you have received that email, I would call the school.

Maybe a thread needs to be put up about what Carriers to avoid
The money saved in booking LIAT goes to paying for the extra weight
Would have been better taking Air Jamaica because its at least a short flight

if shipping as in small parcel then use fedex

I don't have space for a book bag, binders, and paper to go with it. Does the bookstore sell these, and is the price at least reasonable?
