Are you bringing a printer? Pretty much everything that isn't sourced in the Caribbean is expensive, including paper products. Personally I think a printer and paper are dead weight and you're better off using that luggage room for something else. You'll survive using the library printers if you don't try to print things off the day before you need them like everyone else.

ya.. i plan on brining a printer that i can refill the ink indefinately.

kind of silly question, but in my undergrad, i can just take paper from the school printer and use as scratch notes.
Would I be able to take a few paper every now and then from the school's printer for free?

Refill the ink indefinitely? Are you bringing a bunch of cartridges or a giant barrel of ink? If you're set on a bringing a printer, I would at least recommend a laser model. I have a Samsung ML 2010 ($65) and it took me almost a year and a half to replace the toner. Bring one extra toner cartridge (after 1st year) and you'll be set for the entire two years, and it will cost you much, much less than an ink printer. As for the paper, I wouldn't let the staff see you take more than a piece or two at a time, I'm sure you're not the first student to consider that option.

well i have an epson c88 printer and i have these spongeless cartridges

E Refillable Cartridges for Epson C68 C88 c88+ CX7800 - eBay (item 300187552903 end time Jan-10-08 14:26:15 PST)

Ink Refill Set For Epson C68 C88 CX3810 CX6600 CX7800 - eBay (item 300076867752 end time Dec-24-07 20:54:53 PST)

I dont need a lot of ink to last. That ink above lasts for years. i have been refilling them with bulk ink for years with no problem. Ink is really cheap so i just print without caring about the ink. Prints color too. That's probably what i'll bring down to GND.

Whatever works for you. Just be aware of the carry-on liquid restrictions (nothing larger than 3oz, 1 quart ziplock total) and the possibility of your checked baggage being crushed as it travels from plane to plane to plane.
