you can get it with the top, dont necessary need the bottom unless you wanna look like a doc already

but don't make the mistake of thinking YOU can wear the tropical scrubs....solid ones for students.

important to remember come practical time, like jay said--no scrub top (or white coat)=can't enter lab.

LOL. So true. I'm pretty sure it's top and bottom . . . can't think of anyone wearing just the top. Anyways, not really a huge cost/weight concern, and you definitely don't want to find out on lab day, so bring two sets and get it over with.
