hmm no one's used this thread in a while, but I've read through it and have a random question. For those of you current students who do the "hash" runs, how difficult are they? I love running and it sounds like a lot of fun, but I'm definitely no marathoner...

The hash runs aren't competitive and for most people involve more drinking than running.

Sheets

As far as sheets and blankets go, are the beds in the dorms twin size? And is there any cooking ever done in the dorms?

The beds are the typical dormitory beds - they are twins but then they are longer than the usual twins I think. Twin sheets fit. The dorm room kitchens are supplied with stovetop, sink and refrigerator/freezer. Plenty of cooking happens.

You also get a microwave.

I would recommend bringing a flyswatter. It takes almost no space and no weight. I'm sure you could find them in Grenada and they probably wouldn't cost that much but after being there for 1.5 years I couldn't tell you where to go to buy one. Especially since the flyswatter comes in most handy for the first few days that you're there it would be best to just bring it since you'll have plenty of other stuff to be doing besides going on a treasure hunt for one.

Something decent to wear. Most guys wear a shirt and tie.
