Grenada has MOST everything you need (including knives, bowls and forks, heh). The only thing it lacks is the name brand items that you cant live without. Afterall you will have the option to get your items you crave in a mere 15ish weeks. It will also give you a great chance to flavor the local brands... who knows you may love Grenadas Spice Peanutbutter!

There's a ton of recommendations on stuff to bring...which begs the question, do we have to schelp all this stuff back home at the end of every semester? - or are we allowed to leave it in our dorm rooms when we come home for vacation?

there is a storage on campus . you cant leave it at your room. you have to bring the stuff to the communal storage rooms.

bottom line, you dont have to bring stuff home if you dnt want to, but store at your own risk.

we have the option of storing our stuff in our rooms for next term over the winter break. Correct me if I'm wrong...

But for the summer you can store your stuff in one of the buildings. But goodluck finding your boxes, people will move your pooh pooh to Siberia and it will take a while (couple hours) to find it.

I just wanna say that I did not write "pooh pooh"--that's just stupid. I can't edit it for some reason, so I guess I'll have to deal with it...

You can only leave it in your room (and theoretically stored in the closets at that) over winter break if you were lucky enough to get the exact same room for the next term in the lottery.

Thanks a lot. This will clear up a lot of ambiguities for me.
I find that the best way to ship food (canned, dried, with long shelf lifes), especially if you live in NYC, is through a barrel shipping company. It takes about three weeks to get to Grenada but we have so much time thatyou can afford to do it. Also it is very cheap. You can send food to last the entire 5 month stay for only $60 and the tax is the same. The items will be taxed to the receiver in this case.

Red face

I received a clinical skills order form that describes all the "equipment" I need before starting vet school. The question is, what kind of O.R. surgical gown and cap I need to bring with me?. Is it a disposable one or reusable?.

You may want to post this on the SGU Vet School Forum instead of the med school forum.
