How many exams/semester make up a grade for a class during 1st term(anatomy for example). Is it just a midterm and final, only two exams?
Thank you much, Romdoc.

We have Midterm/Final/ Wet and Dry lab/ Living anatomy/ and online Quizzes. They all have certain points and at the end based the points you've got, you will be assigned A-B-C or big F.

Just remember, other than the anatomy course, there are only two real evaluations of one's performance, a midterm and a final. If you screw up the midterm very badly, you really don't have much chance of redeeming yourself.Originally Posted by Rico

That's what I was afraid of. In undergrad, writing only a midterm and final was stressful. There wasnt much room for error. Well, at least I know what to expect now. Thanks for the info.
Yep, like others have said, try to kick *** on the midterm. It's really your best shot at getting a good grade because many times the final is partially cumulative. Also, the midterm material is usually incorporating a few lectures that are considered "basic introductory" information for the course. Post-midterm material is usually building on pre-midterm material to some degree so it makes it even more overwhelming for someone who didn't study very much for midterms because then they are having to play catch up along with absorbing the post-midterm information and that's not a situation that you want to be in for 1st term. Just do your best and you'll be fine. Study hard, regardless of how many people you know that are going to the beach every weekend or putting off their studying to the weekends. Establish some good habits and ground rules with yourself from the start and you'll make your life much easier.
510 points I agree with the previous posts in that you should try to do as well as possible on midterms. However, many people didn't quite figure out how to study until after midterms first semester. My suggestion is to find what works best for you. I think that's the key. There is always room for improvement after you blow a test.
Also, while I'm not encouraging you to party every night please do take some time to relax. It is just as important as studying. Take some time to exercise as well if you like that.
All the best...
