I think what you should be asking is not how many people move on to med school but how well these people do once they are accepted to the 1st term. my double secret info shows that these people do not do as well as should be expected because they simply have not changed their slackers way. There are notable exceptions of students who have gone through the mph and have done very well for themselves in terms 1-6. these people tend to be older and have no time for **...

thats a very bold statement.
there are a lot of students that are doing very well from the mph that are in the MD and thats not of the older type of students
generally ALL people in the MPH have no time for ** because they are in the MPH and want that MD that badly to go through MPH.
but of course there are also those that havent learned from their undergrad ways yet.
you never know, your best friend may be very well from the MPH program originally.

All I am going to say is that I know someone who had a 4.0 in the MPH program and then failed every class first term even after deceling, meaning they dropped half of the classes after the midterms and they still failed the two classes that they were left with. If you are really worried about the dificulty of the MPH program then you shouldn't even waste your time trying to be an MD because Med school is 1000% harder!!!! So i recomend just trying another profession.

hey there are alwyas exception. im sure there will be docs that get all As from a top US med school and still dont know anything.
but doesnt mean jst you one someone thats the case for the whole class.
stop stereotyping, we are all going to be coming from a carib school and be an IMG together, we are all gonna face the stereotype from the US grads, no need for any division and bigotry among ourselves.

jaywalk who said anything about sterotype. We are all going to be IMGs.
We are talking about med school classes and the mph program. You showed me the school catalog and the descriptions of the classes. So what? What does that have to do with the performance of the students that go through the mph program. These mph students are extreme slackers. Just like russianzoo said they do good on the mph and then decell and then fail the remaining 2 (yes 2) classes!!!!!
They hear from uppertermers that no matter how many classes they fail they will be readmitted. And you know what, at that point the beach looks might enjoyable...
Instead of showing me the class descriptions why don't you show me the median grade for their 1 term.
Jaywalk was it you that said you are in the mph program?

and as with all things, there will always be some that extreme cases..some that exceptionally well and some very poorly.
of course mph classes isnt comparable to med school classes and cant be a measure of how well do in med school....but hey dont people use MCAT and the SAT to try to predict how ppl will do in med schools and colleges respectively? all i am trying to say is that just because someone came out of the program and yes some of the classes are a joke doesnt mean that its a prediction how well or poor they will do in med school.

OH my favorite topic again! Yes, MOST(not all) MPH students are SLACKERS. they don't change there ways. they continue to be as they were in college. DO you know what one of the MPH students told me once in the library? She said "why is it that i always see you in the library studying." obviously she doesn't know whats comming at her. she was telling me how hard the MPH prog is, and how she doesn't have time to do this and that, and i asked her what do you mean? i am costantly at the beach or at Bananas or at the Barking barcuda or s/th, i just don't feel like studying! and this was in the begging of the term, it's not like she was burned out or s/th. Anyway my point is that these people are just to hung up in there old ways! Thats why they are put in the MPH prog in the first place. We do MPH calsses in 6 weeks in med school and we do just fine and they do the same classes in 9 months or so and still fail! MPH students, you need to Start studying to pass, you cant just go to the beach and expect someone to pass you!!! it doesn't work that way!!
