Yeah. And the pizza place that was down by Bananas (you know, between there and the Coast Guard Base?) mmm. I wasn't even a student here then, I just know someone that worked there as a cook and tasted the pizza they cooked at home (same recipe) lol.

The prices for those places are about double then what they are at home. Also they only have the basics at those places, and even though in the US subway or KFC might come out with a new sandwich or whatever it will never be available in grenada. The menu is just the basic stuff. Also a lot of the times they will run out of things like cold cuts or lettuce or even bread at subway, and they will run out of chicken at KFC.

Question Fodor's Travel Wire - Epicurean Caribbean: 10 Restaurants Worth the Splurge

Guess we might have world class dining, heh.

Rhodes Restaurant, Grenada
Michelin-starred Brit Gary Rhodes, who runs two London restaurants, opened his first overseas outpost two years ago in the low-key Calabash resort on Grenada. The restaurant is a major new draw for an island that is among the least trafficked in the Caribbean. Rhodes' fine touch with local ingredients and preparations -- he serves Grenadian fish stew with saffron and jerk chicken fillets with papaya salad -- are well worth an island-hopping detour. Calabash Hotel & Villas, St. George's, Grenada. 473/444-4334. Dinner only daily. $$$$

Prickly Bay: Best pizza I've had on the island, and yes, I've had all the usual places. Makes Rick's taste like the stuff you used to get out of the cafeteria line in the 6th grade. They do pizza after 4 pm only, and not sure about Sunday operation. Also had their fish (snapper) and ribs, both were meh to not bad. Good place to relax and have a brew when you don't want to see 50 people you know.

calabash is great! - it truly is world class. Surprisingly there are absolutely great restaurants in GND - calabash is one , the Beach house is one of my favorites, and La Luna is very good - their risotto is fabulous!(though i prefer Beach house).
