Cable and useless

The only good thing about C&W (and yes,i do mean only) is that their cell service was working post-Ivan long before Digicell and AT&T(now Cingular). Therefore, myself and a very small handfull of students had the only working cell phones for the next few days. That baby sure got alot of use. I think everyone in Canada had my phone number. I was still getting calls 2 days after the evacuation.

I reitterate what everyone has already said. Billing issues, long long waits for service calls. Horrible hardware. Pitiful customer service.

Use the school's wireless.

(BTW, it sure is nice to be on Comcast DSL!)

For most people, it is best to decide once you come down. The facts have been laid. The comments about C&W have been presented. There is no need to beat a dead horse.

For the new folks coming down, know that the service is inferior and more expensive to what we're used to and C&W is a headache of a company. Therefore, it is up to you to take the chance to deal with C&W to have Internet in your room. Until there is another option, the major question is how much do you want Internet access in your room? If Internet is important enough for you, then know that there is a way of getting Internet access in your room.

no problems for 2 terms

My roommate have actually had no problems with Cable and wireless this term or last. In fact, they haven't charged us for internet for these terms, so we are getting internet for free. When we lived in Grand Anse druing the "Ivan" term it was a different story--they internet was down all the time, but could be due to the old wiring at Grand Anse. It does take forever setting up new service and getting them to come in and set it up. After that we haven't had any problems with our internet.
