Thread: SGUSOM grads continue to achieve outstanding residency positions!

Congrats to the student from the Caribbean medical school who recently attained a Yale residency. However, St. George's University SOM (Grenada) graduates have been achieving outstanding residency positions for nearly 25 years. SGU grads have done residencies at USC, Yale, Harvard (Mass General), Georgetown, Jefferson, Vanderbilt, Mayo Clinic as well as other prestigious institutions. This year alone, Duke matched 3 of our graduates in emergency medicine, continuing a trend in accepting our grads every year into their EM program since it started.

IMG's with the right training can achieve great residency positions, both in the US and abroad. When looking at a med school, look at their faculty, resources available on campus as well as during your clinical training, USMLE pass rates and the accomplishments of their graduates. I'm proud to be a SGU graduate!
