    Chief Neurosurgery Resident

    click on the link Below:

    http://www.gwumc.edu/smhs/gme/current/chiefres.html

MA , MD (St, George's graduate) is now the chief resident (Neurosurgery) at George Washington School of medicine

I post this for those Pre-med or med Idiots that question the credibility of St, George's over US med schools like Univerity of nebraska or meharry or howard, or North Dakota University (middle of no where)

Yes If you are comparing St, George's with Harvard or yale or stanford, Definitely they are better, no question , but do not tell me that Howard or Meharry med schools are better than St, George's, They are comparable look at these kind of universities match results, you see almost no Ortho and no dermatology like St, George's, you see bunch of internal medicine or family practice like St, George's

awesome... we need more high profile grads... get them to be PD's and let us all IMG's take the ultra comeptitive residencies away from US students... that would be funny.
That's my 2 cents and I want some change back.

The last paragraph in this post made me cringe - come on - we go to a CARIBBEAN medical school. Granted it is a solid one, but don't become defensive and accommodate for the fact that your ego may have been de-flated because you had to "settle" for SGU by putting down other schools. Seriously, we become fustrated and upset when people put down carib schools but here you put down these "lesser" American schools - isn't this a double standard? I'm so sick of these hierarchies people I find especially in the medical profession create in order to make them feel better about themselves or validate a certain perceived indequacy that they have. A word of advice (not my words and paraphrased): In life, you will meet people who you think are "better" than you and others who you think you are "better" than, but to make these constant comparisons is truly pointless because though the race in life is long and arduous, in the end, you are really only competing against yourself. Think about it.
