    St, George's graduate

I want to post this for those people that question the credibility of the St, george's university over US med schools.

    Click the link: http://yalesurgery.med.yale.edu/surg...y/barrett.html

This guy is a professor of cardiothoracic surgery at the prestigious Yale school of medicine. He is a St, George's graduate: M.D. St. George’s University School of Medicine 1985

I think If you want something you will get it, no matter what

Stop being a hater Stephew...seems like you have been posting far too long and now have some jaded perspective. Let people have hope in whatever they may wish. You should just make sure people "dont get off topic"

i think it's pretty cool... while SGU may have a good rep and there are certainly plenty of great docs from SGU, there is still a stigma attached to coming out of an offshore school. there is no question about this. so it IS inspiring to hear every super success story.

She is not being a hater, she is trying to give a realistic view of what being an IMG is like. Sure you can be very successful and get a residency at a top university and steph is a great example, but its not the norm. She has gone through the whole process already and most of us on here have not, so i would not look at her perspective as jaded.

    ahhhhhh

the realists vs. the idealists - thank goodness for both groups, but i think this is the wrong place for this argument - personal philosophies are just that: personal

ok then mike; Ill do a little moderating for you; Get back on topic. Also, flamming/insulting others is not permitted so stop that too.

As for idealists and realists- I dont see why one cant be both.
