Re: List of 1st- 3rd term Text book

I don't know if it's really worth the effort to buy the books in Canada and then ship them down. These books are heavy as a whole and will eat a nice chunk out of your total weight limit allowed by the airlines. Someone may want to correct me on this but I don't think you can opt out of purchasing books for the first term. So you may be stuck with buying books twice. For first term I would go with what the school gives and charges you, then for second, third and fourth term you can see if an upper termer will sell you some books he/she may not want to ship home. Maybe pick up a Netter's Flashcard set or Chungs for anatomy. Also, the school will send you a book list for first term in the acceptance package. Hope this helps. |

books
worry about the 2,3,4th books when you finish 1st term. if you search through this forum you will get a good idea of what you need for the upper terms.
long story short - dont buy all the books because you dont need them all. 2 books that i DONT recommend you buy in any capacity are the Neuro textbook by Kandel and the Merck. but search through these forums and you will see. |
