i think it's better. for one, it forces you to stay up on the material, which for me is a big deal, because i am one lazy...med student.

and the other, it spreads out the chances of having a bad day. what i mean is, one bad day in a class with two exams messes you up more than one bad day in a class with two exams...

so....yeah, it's good grade-wise, in my opinion, but it's a pain to have to keep studying for these things!!

I agree...

Especially when 5 of the questions are what family of viruses does Hep A, B, C, D, and E each belong to...

Picornaviridae is Hep A, Hepadnaviridae is Hep B, Flaviviridae is Hep C, and Caliciviridae Hep E. Hep D isn't technically a virus, it's a viroid.See, how hard was that?Ok, I admit that having access to the internet makes it a whole lot easier.

lol...you fool, of course it's easy with the internet!

hehehe...i was like...man, this guy's busting out all the families, and he's not even taking the classes....am i just dumb?

it's even worse when the professor specifically says "don't worry about the details like this, it's not important, know the important stuff like how it's transmitted and symptoms, etc."

and then proceeds to ask 5 questions about things that "aren't important"

oh well...

Thanks, unfortuately we aren't even allowed to bring our own pencils into the exam, never mind the internet!

And I think the complaints about the questions were related to the fact that it was basically the same question 5 times over, never emphasized in class, and very nitpicky when there is so much more clinically relevant differentiations/features between the Hep viruses that could have been tested.
