I am sorry, but you are incorrect on both accounts.
1) I should have more respect for " the world leader"???? most envied??? I am sorry, but respect is earned, and not confirred simply be position. Mr. Bush has failed to earn my respect for not benefitting from the ivy-league degree his father bought for him. His lack of intelligence is evident whenever he makes unscripted comments (well sometimes he can't even read the pre-written speeches correctly), and it an embarrasment that he was elected into office. And no, he is not my president. I certainly didn't vote for him. I would have voted for virtually anyone except for him. Even a low-life lawyer that made his millions off of medical malpractice suits. Oh and getting back to " the world leader: Society is becoming ever more globalized, and it is this kind of narrow view that has the rest of the world laughing at us Americans for. (In addition to generally being loud and obnoxious.)
2) And you are also incorrect on your second point: While I currently attend SGU, I would still be in medical school if your touted tax-loopholes didn't exist. I could be studying at a medical school in Germany if I wanted...

It is probably not worth debating politics with someone who uses "the ivy-league degree that his daddy bought him" as a legitimate argument, but I will attempt it. Taking this along with your argument that he isn't a good leader because he doesn't give good speeches is evidence to me that you cannot form your own opinions and simply regurgitate catch phrases and political philosophy based on what you see on moveon.org or here from some political science proffesor. By the way, it is also telling that you base your vote for the most powerful position in the world (and yes it is the most powerful position in the world) on who you don't want to vote for. This thought process continues to perplex me and explains why Bush won by 4 million votes and is still the president, however much this fact displeases you.
