By the way, if a friend tells you she/he takes a Valium every night so that they can sleep do you have a responsibility to tell someone? Obviously this person is dependent on the drug...but with Valium there isn't the risk of other drugs to those around...so do you something other than telling the person they need help?

and to top it off that wiener who insists on smoking near the entrances all the time when the doors are open. yeah we cant hear you whisper. is their a russian word for "whisper?"

ok enough ranting

back to drugs

Don't appreciate people hiding behind a computer throwing shots at other people, so if anybody has an issue then that person should be man enough to address it or not share his idiotic ideas with the rest. Furthermore, perhaps more studying and less "ranting" would empower u to come to class and actually understand what's going on.

Next time you decide that you have issues with anyone in the class, you should be mature enough and address it with those people firsthand.
I know of someone who actually told the smoker to smoke away from the door at the beginning of term and the guy just puffed away and gave him a dirty look. So much for talking to people.

So my crazy thought of the day is, why do we have to try and prevent people from committing suicide by smoking? I just say we promote cyanide laced cigarettes and hand them out to our classmates. That way we can open up more slots at Methodist and Maimonides.

Oooh oooh...I just remembered the funniest thing I ever heard someone say while complaining about their hospital assignments.

Seems two young ladies were telling an SGA Rep (as if he had any control over the process) that they shouldn't have been assigned to Brookdale because they are two "White" women and Brookdale is not the the kind of neighborhood they should have to be subjected to. I almost busted a gut coming out of the bathroom when I heard this.

After hearing that I was furious that they could even suggest that their color should dictate that they get Maimo or Methodist and the rest of the students of color should get Brookdale.

smoking in public

yes, people who smoke tend to stick together, thinking they are cool and exclusive...in reality, they are not exclusive by choice, society has pushed them aside and wants nothing to do with them...slowly they will realize that.

ps. i plan on crying myself to sleep tonight.[/quote]

Yup...I was washing my hands in the mens room while the conversation was going on at the water fountain. I gave the SGA rep the look of as I excused myself to get by them. She/he had a pretty incredulous look on his face as well.

This is a really sad situation if this is true of our class.

Well i guess since coming up to the "smoker" was unsuccessfull, posting about it would be the next best thing. Very interesting! Next time the "smoker" should just smoke without coming out of the lecture hall, in the comfort of his seat so any misunderstandings would be avoided.

As for the thought of that day, great idea, should be implemented for sure! Why not, let the not-smokers enjoy the cyanide as well (via inhalation of smoke). So here is the synopsis of the thought of the day, let both the smokers and the non-smokers open those spots in methodist and maimo, and let those that didn't come to class that day get the spots! I like it! Good job Houstonian, is that how situations are solved in Texas?

Actually, we just take them out back and shoot them. Bullets are cheaper than health care in Texas!

If the Malboro man image of being cool can die in Texas, I'm sure the East Coasters will eventually catch on...albeit some of them won't get it until they are in the grave.

Personally, I wouldn't have a problem if someone extinguished that cigarette on the smoker's face. I've seen it done...as a result of a bar fight...after a smoker blew a puff of smoke into someones face after he asked the smoker to put it out in a bar. Texans have ways of dealing with smarty pants.
