Speaking of crushes... so I get this voicemail 2 days ago, says "please call me back at xxx-xxxx". I call back, figuring it's something landlord-related or some other business-related. Some guy answers...

Phren: Hi, this is Phren, I had a message to call you. Who are you?
Guy: Oh, hi, thanks for calling.
Phren (a little impatient, she's busy): Who are you, again?
Guy: My name is X.
Phren: How do I know you and what is this regarding?
Guy: I just wanted to talk to you.
Phren (irritated): Do I know you?
Guy: Ummm... no, I saw you the other day, I got your number from my friend. I really wanted to talk to you, to be friends.
Phren: I think you have me confused with someone else.
Guy: No, I don't think so.
Phren (lying through her teeth): Well, then I think you should reconsider your plan, because I am MARRIED.
Guy: Uh... oh.... ummmmm.... I am so sorry. I am really sorry, I didn't mean to bother you. *sounds very sincere and embarrassed*
Phren (magnanimous, benevolent and sweet): No worries, apology accepted. Have a great day, bye.

I think I have an idea about how this person got my number (from a taxi driver I had called a few days ago), and I think I know what he looks like... pretty cute kid (ok, so that makes me feel good, yeah, I'm vain and self-absorbed like that )

Here's the funniest part. Yesterday I get a text message: "I'm so sorry if I offended you. I just had a heavy crush on you. Please forgive me." The last time someone had a "heavy crush on" me I was in the 6th or 7th grade.

So see... Arga.. there are plenty of people (ok, ONE!) who want to give me love, even if you don't...

pffft... *stands in the corner pouting*
