For the love of all that is holy, do not use a shotgun to shoot either of these. You'll only hurt the deer and will be picking shot out of the duck for the next week.

One of the loaded guns is a .22 revolver that is kept on top and at the back of one of the bookshelves. The other loaded gun is kept in the bedroom.
I have nothing to back this up, but I feel like if you're raised in a household with guns that are used properly/responsibly then the chances of you blowing something away are decreased. Most people who are raised around guns view them very differently than those who are not.

Some things never change, no matter how old you are. When I was a kid my mother bought me a toy vacuum and toy lawn mower. I now have a strange affinity for vacuum cleaners and mow the lawn.
