Class Size, Student Faculty Ratios and Deposits

Can anyone offer some feedabck on the class size of the MD program? How big was your last class and what is the student faculty ratio? Also, what is the deal with the deposit? Is it me or is St. G's pretty aggressive in trying to get me to committ? I am waiting to hear from one more school......HEEEEEELP!

I started in august of 2004, class size was 350. the deposit is partially refundable ($4000 out of $5000).

Nothing personal DrB, but why do you continue to comment on a school you attended, only briefly, 6 years ago? I just don't think it's worth offering inaccurate information/opinions/etc on a school you have no real association with. It isn't helpful to prospective students, nor conducive to the current wellbeing of our university.

while drB and i dont always agree, he is fair and has insights from a different perspective. He's qualified his statement with the fact that its been many years since his time. I dont think it hurts the wellbeing of the school.

Giving specific data, ie: class size, is clearly inaccurate, Dr. B, because you don't have the correct details. I just find it strange that someone would even care to comment on a school they attended only briefly more than half a decade ago. It gives me the impression you have some other agenda. You try to dissuade students from attending SGU based on cost when clearly we pay such large sums of money for reasons your never state: better passing rates on the boards, grads licensed in all 50 states, grads practising in all fields of medicine. It is my nature to be extremely loyal to the things which I feel dedicated, and SGU is one of them. It will be hard enough combating some people who will treat us negatively when we return to the US because we went to an off-shore Medical School; your comments, to a certain degree, add insult to injury for our having chosen this University. What makes it even more annoying is that you didn't get accepted to a US school either, and for some reason went to Australia (fanatastic country by the way--I loved living there a couple years ago), even though their stats are not even comparable to SGU. Well this is more ranting then I usually do, I apologize for that, but had to get that off my chest.
