making calls to places outside grenada

I saw skype mentioned in another thread but wanted to bring it up again. Looking for the cheapest way to call the states, I ran across skype. Using it you can talk to anyone else that has it on their computer and the reception is crystal clear. Also if you want to call people on their land lines anywhere in the North America, Europe , Australia and other parts of the world costs 2 US cents a minute!
Just wanted to pass that on.
you can look for yourself at skype.com

skype phone service

Lawrence,
Have you used this skype service before? Is it really as good as it sounds? It sounds too easy and good to be true.

Skype is amazing with a broadband connection.

Props to the makers of Kazaa.

skype

does skype work in grenada because i was reading somewhere that cable and wireless which is also the internet provider in grenada doesn't allow skype to be used on their networks. Is that true? sounds like a good service but hope it works in grenada though.

I used Skype back in September down in Grenada and it does work. I had probems connecting to Skype some days, but on the days I could connect, the sound quality was great!

calling america

has anyone hear of Yak VOIP? Will this work on the SGU network? its basically a voice over IP service which allows you to take the "communicator" to other countries (the only one that allows this) anyway, would this work? its $14.99 a month for each service and calls are unlimited to other members and discounted rates to other land lines... what yall think?

Re: skype phone service

I started this topic 3 months ago. Skype is the best and the moderator thought I was advertising for skype.
Stick with Skype till we find something better.

re: skype

my roommates use skype right now - we have internet with cable and wireless (dsl) -

about that Yak VOIP thing - I'm not sure, haven't heard of it. I know that u should also check out iconnect and dialpad if you want to compare to other VOIP - people I know have used both of these with varying success.

Cheers,

Silenthunder
