511 points there are of course gay students. The student body tends to be very accepting of this. However the local population not at all. PLease be aware of that and that about 9 years ago, a student innocently put up a flyer to have gay students meet; the country went nuts, editorials in paper etc. One member of the admin was less than supportive but the students and everyone protected the person involved (ie kept his privacy). This is the truth of caribbean mores.

Interesting that brothels abound in the Caribbean, isn't it?Originally Posted by stephew

an interesting change. just before the hurricane i happened to be listening to the local station in grenada on the way home from school. apparently it USED to be ILLEGAL to be gay in grenada. the law was just in the process of being changed - you may want to check into it.Originally Posted by cyberflip9

somewhere out there....
Maybe brothels aren't everywhere, but I can think of at least 3 on St. Maarten. They are legal. probably not any on Grenada. I believe they used to be under British control? I would doubt that they would go for that. I guess I replied just from my small experience. G
