Thread: toiletries and other misc stuffs

hi i was wodering how much do shampoo, soap, toothpaste, saline solution (for contacts), facial cleansers (eg. noxzema, i think thats how u spell it) and other similar type of stuff cost in grenada.

are they expensive enough that i should bring with me enough tolast a term and probably beyond or can i just buy them down there.

It is generally more expensive... and most likely they will not have your desired brand (esp for OTC meds), so my suggestion is bring down enough for the term... (That's what I did.) Just don't try and buy more than 3 packages of Day/Nyquil at Walmart... They'll give you a warning that you are a druggie...

I wouldn't pack heavy on stuff like that because unless you use some obscure brand, you will most likely find what you need. Anyway, don't waste the packing space and extra weight on that stuff.
The only thing that I ran into was on the island of St. Vincent. They don't really have a supply of contact lens cleaner so do pack extra for that island.

I would say, bring all that stuff as much as you can fit. You are not likely to find the brands you like and if you do you'll be paying at least 3x as much as you would pay in the US. Contact solution is particularly expensive.

bring antiperspirants, and contact solution. that stuff is heavy so buy the rest in town. things are way cheaper in town than they are at spiceland mall.

About 15 minutes.

that is a reggae bus, the school buses don't go to the capital.
