Thread: rejection calls via the phone?

im just wondering that if anyone know that if SGU rejects applicants via phone call or do they just send a letter. and if they dont reject via phone...then i assume that all phone calls by SGU admission office is a good one?

As far as I know, all notifications are made via post; I received my acceptance letter in the mail, and Im shore that no one will call to reject you. I couldnt imagine having to be a person whose job it is to call and say "hello ----, how are you?..... Thats great, but we regret to inform you that you are not good enough for us, have a nice day"!

I dont recall receiving any calls from Bayshore during the admissions process. If they call, it's probably because you frogot something on your application or some other stupid reason, I wouldn't consider a call from Bayshore good, but its not the end of the world either.

I have never heard of anyone calling to tell you didnt get in, but they do call you (sometimes) when you get in. They did for me and a few others.. Annoying story though bc my admissons lady called on a friday late afternoon so I had to sweat out the whole weekend to hear the good news. Goodluck, but im sure its good news

Yeah, that acceptance phone call is like my favourite phone call of all time, haha...you get sooo excited, that like a week later, its hard to remember even the conversation! Keep a close tab on your phone...

Yeah, I got called on my cell phone (it was the number I gave them) by Rosanna, my advisor. When she told I screamed in her ear! haha, it was cool though. I was very excited

I had to call my admissions counselor to get an answer. It was a positive answer, but just so you know, it doesn't hurt to call once in a while to get a status update.

i did not receive any calls from sgu, but i was just wondering about the whole process and stuff. however i did call sgu this week and they told me that the board met last week and they should be calling ppl this wee. i hope this helps ppl that are still waiting for an answer. im in the same boat as you guys.

hi everyone good to hear that the phone call is generally good news

my interview invite was done by a phone message a day or two after my application was completed
I recieved the actual letter a week later.
i am waiting for the post interview decision.. i did apply for August so i am not hopeful to hear anything before the new year
