Thank you

the swimmers would swim to the nearby isand (3 miles) or to grand anse after checking the water conditions online. there is a small pier behind one of the dorms but it's hard to get out of water.

I do not recommend swimming in the waters around the university. I did my master's in micro and saw all the very nice things that would grow out of those water samples. Grand Anse beach is a good place to swim.

So since you left... (or maybe the fence wasn't there yet) they have taken the fence down by the marine science building and there's just a small decorative white post so people don't drive off the parking lot into the water. Since the fence has come down... there are several groups of people that would swim in the shallow waters right in front of the drain run off.

10528 points The fence was to keep the campus secure, but bc Grenada has in their constitution that all beaches are public, and the fence prevented Grenadians from accessing the beach, they had to take it down. The fence wasn't there to keep ppl out of the drain run off water, but as a consequence of it coming down, now students DO swim there.
