510 points does anyone know how their lab facilities are??
they are a little bit expensive so i suspect they will have state-of-the art facilities similar to canadian american schools? their campus picture looks really nice to study in....wonder if their actual facilities are good as well?
also, does anyone know how we get jobs after our residency? do we drop our resume at the hospitals or do they seek us???
any comments?
by the way, im from toronto, canada![]()
510 points just out of curiosity, for those who were accepted, when did you interview? and when did you hear back about your acceptance?
also, after you interview, did they ask for a copy of your final transcripts? if so, how long after you sent out your final transcripts did it take to hear back?
Thanks!!!

510 points Hey, im thinking about applying to SGU this next fall 2012. Would anyone who has been accepted (congrats) be willing to say what your GPA and MCAT scores are???? Im interested to know if i have a chance or not thanks!
517 points yes please if you dont mind, share your stats for aug 12
510 points I am accepted, just saving up to pay my deposit next month but looks like its a definate go for this girl! I interviewed back at the end of September for the January class and heard back probably a little under a month later that I got in (for Jan.). I was lucky enough to be able to defer until Aug by writing an appeal to the admissions council and I heard back about that probably less than a week after sending it. I don't know if it had anything to do with when I applied but my impression is that they are really quick about making decisions. My interviewer made it seem like I was a sure thing during the interview, so I guess I wasn't that worried either.
My stats aren't all that impressive. MCAT: 29Q, undergrad GPA ~3.2 from a very competitive university (my masters progrm advisor's input, not my own, I guess there is some sort of ranking that med schools use when looking at what college you came from) and a GradGPA from a one-year masters program (very science heavy) right around 3.2 (again). I didn't have a ton of ECs: about a year of volunteering at a hospital, some shadowing experience with MDs and a dentist, a humanitarian trip to Mexico to povide medical care (sort of like and alternative spring break thing), and I was a health advisor in college.
I am really excited about the fall and I wish everyone the best with their applcations. Since being accepted I have actually met 2 SGU alumni randomly around my area that confirmed it is a great school. As others get accepted for fall '12 I would like to keep in contact to get input on what to take, when to fly, what hotels are affordable in Grenada, etc. So feel free to contact me and keep in touch!

510 points oh, and I didn't have to send anything in after the interview. I fowarded all my transcripts as part of the application, but I had graduated already, maybe they would ask for transcripts when you get your final grades if you're still in school.
