How much loans do you get? Is it enough for plane tickets, food, living expenses, entertainment, and a little extra? Also do SGU provide a USMLE course? Like if you have only 1k in your bank account, and your parents were dead beats living off government funds, is it possible to live off the loans alone?

Thxleave: I love you posts btw.

yea, SGU gets federal loans so there should be plenty of funds and the interest rates should be low.

Thanks! Always nice to have admirers
I'm just worried about having to scrape by with beans/rice and vitamin pills.

Yea you will have no problem living off loans. ithink they give you an extra 10k to use if you live off campus. If you live oncampus you get a certain amount for food etc and its plenty

Does anyone know if there are still seats for the KBTGSP first term August 2012? My apologies if this has already been mentioned!

congrats on finishing your first term

I'm not sure what to bring as far as kitchen stuff...so do you eat out often or is it more convenient to cook your own food in the dorms?

Lolz my version of cooking is microwaved white castle's dipped in a jar of mayo.

If anything, I would cook large batches of spaghetti or whatever I was making so I would have leftovers (and I love to cook) but for the most part, you feel like you don't have the time so you wind up eating out. To help cut costs, cereal is a great morning staple and then get some deli meats and cheeses for sandwiches to eat at lunch.

8 weeks since my interview is coming up and still no word on a decision. Advisor keeps saying there's no word yet and that I'll get an update as soon as they make a decision.

    Anyone else waiting a while?
