flights

Jeff- I think she meant taking the MCAT for the second time around (to better her chances of applying to a Canadian School).

As for flight information...I've flown to Grenada twice from Boston and paid $550 the first time and around $400 the second time. US Airways just opened up direct flight service into Grenada this past December and has been promoting the flight every couple months. (My connection was in Philly for any East Coasters) When I flew American Airlines, I had to change in Puerto Rico to a smaller plane before flying into Grenada. These flights were early September and March, so they're slightly off peak.

My boyfriend's ticket out of Grenada to LA in July is $900 (round trip) if that gives any Cali folks some perspective on flights from there.

Hope this helps you guys out!! =)

some thoughts

I would love to get cheap tickets like you did cednalin, but I dont think its possible for our august trip down.

The American Airlines price of $810 is for a roundtrip ticket which returns in december after the promotion committee meets. Hope that helps.

I want to know if anyone is going to be at the orientation in New York City.

Take Care

airlines and stuff

Got my last ding letter today so its official - I'M GOING TO SGU!

I've been doing some research on the internet ticketing places, as well as some airline webpages and the grenada tourism webpage, and here's what i came up with:

1. If you do your round trip within a 3 month period, its a little over $500. This could be good if your parents want to come down *OR* if you want to buy 1 ticket for your flight down in august and back in June and another ticket for flying back in december and down in january. You probably won't get a specific flight for June 2004, but you could probably buy an open ended ticket and get your flight when they have schedules for that part of the year.
Has anyone ever tried this idea??

2. I've been trying to heed the advice of many and not fly American. Air Jamaica flights to GND leave early in the morning from chicago, NY, and Miami, so if you have to fly into one of those airports, you'll have to spend the night there and fly out the next day. Also, they only fly on certain days. And apparently AJ does not fly into Chicago, although they fly out of it. I’m gonna call them and see what that’s all about.

3. For flights down in August and back in December, the lowest i've found is about $1250 (Indy to GND with layovers). And the prices go up from there.

4. How good of a deal have people gotten using the special code the school gives out?

Other stuff:
I won’t be at the orientation in NY, but I’m going to the open house in Chicago June 2nd. Anyone else going?

I hope this helps.

flights

I called AIr Jamaica today

from Miami, they only fly M, Th, Sa to Grenada

So I chose Th, Aug 14, and returning Dec 18

The price is $1000.86

this coincides with about every other airline I have contacted, there seems to be no deal for flights of this duration

From Miami on American using the the Starfile # is only 586.30 (8/13-12/17)

..

Hey Kevin, thanks for the reply. I had called the office for a couple of things and I RSVP'd on the phone so I'll be there. Kevin, if you're flying out of LA, which airlines/flight are you going on? and how much is it? This applies to anybody and everybody flying out of LA. Also, when are you all leaving from LA?

flights and orientation

I got a flight down to Grenada on Aug. 15th direct on AJ (through Delta) out of JFK for about $1000 through AAA, that seemed to be the best rate for returning after the 90 day normal travel time period I could find. Because of the early flight time (7am), it'll mean some night-time driving from RI to NY, but it's better than paying to fly out of PVD, which was so over-priced.

I'll be at the orientation in NYC--who else is going?

use the discount code

Hey i'm from NJ and i booked my flight to Grenada using the coupon code provided by SGU admin. It saved me a great deal, originally flights from NJ/NYC to Gren were $965 but i paid something near $650. Def use the discount code by call American Airlines & book the flight.

See all of you in August.

Mets in 2003, or at least let Jeter & the yanks die.
