you need to talk to the MSPE people specifically, not your clinical coordinator (if that's who you meant by advisor)....and thank god I don't have to apply to CaRMS!!

hmmm, that's really strange, the other one (the lady C.P.) gets back to me within an hour usually....I would send him another e-mail, is there a phone contact for him at the bottom of his e-mail? Try that too...

I think it should be mandatory to provide a reason as to why you are being rejected. I guess though that I should be happy that I'm even receiving some sort of email acknowledging the failure to be selected for an interview.

If you applied to Colorado for Family Medicine you should know (unless it has changed from last year) that the programs want you to be able to be licensed starting your first year. IMG/FMG can only be licensed after completing 1 year of residency so you don't meet the minimum requirements for their family medicine programs and will not get an interview. However, this may have changed from last year.

I actually wasn't aware of that - I knew about the 1 year requirement but not (until now, having just looked up state-specific licensure req's) about the 3 years before licensure for IMGs. Too late for me, but hopefully next year's applicants can save the money.

If anyone else is curious, details can be found here

Seems pretty criminal to take money for something you're not able to properly apply for
