Thread: SGU PostBacc Program

Because the PostBacc Program at SGU is so new, there is not much information regarding student profiles/stats, acceptance rates, overall satisfaction, courses, linkage rates, preparedness for MD program, etc.

I thought having its own thread might help.

Hey! Not that I have found. I just found out today that there are only 17 people in the program! But if you want to make a facebook group let me know.

17?? waw..pretty low...i guess because its a pretty new program..hmmm...a facebook group sounds like a pretty good idea jenzi.

Hey all, I am an applicant for the post bacc for August but still haven't heard back. I submitted my application June 15 (the deadline) but had an issue with one of my recomendation letters having to be resubmitted and finally coming in almost a month later (mid July). I spoke with the admissions councelors and was told I would hear back about a possible interview in 1-3 weeks, it's now just about 2 weeks since this happened. Do you guys know if I am still even being considered or if the class is already filled? I plan on emailing the same question to my admissions councelor but I wanted to feel out the opinions on here first. Also, what kinds of questions were asked during your interviews?

Forgive me, but that doesn't sound right. Only 17 people in the Charter Foundation Program at SGU? Don't they usually have over 100 in this program every year?

I think someone is confusing CFP with the post-bacc. Post-bacc is smaller bc it's newer and I personally think it's kinda silly since SGU already as CFP. CFP will def be about 100+ people.
