It has definitely impacted my grade in particular course. I'm not sure what options are at the moment. I don't know what the policy is for repeating courses at SGU, but as I understand it, if you are repeating a course you can't progress onto the next term until you raise the grade in that course. My question is, is there anything I can do to take that course and progress into the next term such that I take it in addition to the next term's courses, or repeat it during the summer. Does anyone know? I am in a really bad place right now and it really is only one course (which I have a D in) that might hold me back.

Hey!! Unfortunately whether in the medical program or premed program, the rules are pretty much the same :/

Pretty much you said you may have to repeat a FEW courses...does that mean you either failed or got a D in all of them? regardless of whatever the case is, you can't fall below a certain GPA. If you do, you get dismissed. Once you get dismissed, you can appeal the dismissal and be allowed back into the premed program but on probation with various restrictions and rules.

You can not take a course or courses from the next term with the courses you are repeating. Even if you are repeating one course, they will make you take 1-2 other courses just to "audit". Like to just go to the classes, participate, take the exams but won't get a grade for it.

Unless they changed rules n stuff, this is how it will be :/ sorry but yeah even if one class holds you back, you can only take that one course and nothing from the next term. And there is nothing you can repeat or take in the summer.
