You sounds nuts! 2 laptops and iPads? and then a desktop on top of it?! How long are you planning to stay here? I would leave the desktop at home, even the iPads are a bit too much, but if you can't live w/o them, bring'em

If at customs you show them your laptops and their receipts that's all you need, they won't search your luggage, ever, unless you say you have nothing.

Just bring a monitor and wireless keyboard/mouse and plug it into the laptop.

I agree - you're going overboard - best option is to either bring your laptops and a monitor....ipad too if you really need it

I wouldn't bring a monitor, students down here sell monitors all the time. I would use that extra weight for trail mix w/ M&Ms or something!!! God I crave that!!!

Plus I'd imagine they would end up charging customs on the desktop; that's too big to miss.

each person bust out their laptops. they'll ask how much it costs in dollars. you tell them... they do some funky math and ask you to pay. keep this reciept. don't even tell them about the other items. show the reciept the next time you enter the rock along with the laptops so they can confirm numbers and you're good
