Anyone Going To St. George in January '05?

Hi I just got accepted into the January '05 class and was wondering if anyone else was starting SGU at that time. It would be cool to meet people before hand. Also if anyone already on the Island has any words of advice on what to bring down or if I should invest in a laptop or will my desktop work just as well, that would be great. you can either reply to this post or pm me or even im me on AIM my screen name is RussianJoo.

thanks for your input and hope to meet many of my classmates,

RussianJoo

One of my best friends is going in January, and my boyfriend is applying for the fall of 05. So, hopefully we'll be there next fall. We're all from New Orleans.

Me too

I am accepted to January 2005 as well. I am from North Carolina. It doesn't seem like NC has much of a crowd at SGU...but its always great to meet new people. Anybody know how big the class size usually is in Jan? I think that we are all in for a great (but difficult) time. Lets make the best of it.

Roommate

Hey guys is anyone looking for a roommate for next year? I know that if we let the admissions people know before december we can choose our roommates. I think it would be best to find a roommate ahead of time and make sure that you can live with them for the term.

So anyway I am a 22 year old male from New Jersey(20min from NYC). I was born in Russia, and speak russian fluently. I moved to NJ when i was 9 years old, so really wouldn't consider myself russian, even though i speak the language. I went to Lehigh University for undergrad (a pretty big party school) and after a great 4 year party I am ready to settle down and get some work done. I played rugby in college and love to go Mountain Biking (thinking of bringing my bike down). I am slowly starting to get into photography, and enjoy going to the gym and working out. I am a night person, and enjoy staying up late but I think that will change once classes start (since I love to sleep). I can get along well with most people and can find things incommon with almost anyone.

Roommate

I guess there is a limit to how much one can say on these things.

I enjoy listening to all kinds of music except for Country and Ethnic stuff. Rap, Hip Hop, Classical Rock, punk rock, jam bands, Alternative rock, Trance, Drum and Base are the types of music i listen to the most. I am a trained EMT and have been riding for over 4years now. I am a huge movie buff and bringing about 90 movies with me plus all of the episodes of Sienfeld and All three series of Family Guy I just recently started playing poker (Hold'em ) and now that I have nothing to do till January play daily online.

So basically i am a normal down to earth American. And if it sounds like I am someone cool to room with or you think we would get along feel free to pm me or im me, my screen name on AIM is RussianJoo.

PS. I can cook

Poker

Yeah the Brogata is beautiful and so are the ladies there. I have been only playing for 3 months now so i am not very good. I did play at Binion's Horseshoe in Vages and lost $100, but ended up hitting 4 Queens in Let it Ride and winning $750 so it was all good. I got all those movies on my computer In DIVIX format so I won't get chagrged anything .

I usually play on Full Tilt every night, my name on it is Johnny Blaze so if you see me on there say Hi. Also maybe we could have Friday night tournaments on the Island, $10 buy in nothing big since we all are poor students.

Also it would be cool set up a little pre january meeting in AC (possibly). I would def be down for that. Plays some Hold'em get a little rowdy, you know jsut to get it out of our system b4 we get to the rock.

let me know what you guys think....
