Anyone have any tips for the second portion of term 1?
Seems like things are going to get fast and loose with anatomy once we hit the head. How is the 2nd half of BCHM and Histo?

510 points histo builds up, i believe the content is far more than pre-midterm. keep on top of it for sure
Biochem, i found was far more enjoyable in 2nd half. Make sure you really prepare for the case-discussions, they help a long way in understanding/memorizing the stuff.
anatomy, once you start doing head/neck/etc...it gets ok, mainly b/c over a period of 3 weeks or so, you'll be hearing the same stuff again/again. dont' freak out if you don't understand something in the first few days.
in anatomy we just had a couple of lectures on pelvis..... boy was i lost. they were just naming structures after structures...

510 points The 2nd half of first term has more information- but overall it's more interesting and a bit more clinically relevant- so it's a bit of a trade-off.
Biochem- you will start to learn about lots of diseases. I wrote them on flashcards right after each lecture and read them on the beach throughout the term, and when it came finals time I hardly had to study biochem.
Anatomy- there's a lot of info in head and neck but you spend several weeks on it. Learn the cranial nerves, )their actions, where they travel and synapse etc) and the structures of the skull as early as you can and you will be gold.
Histo- don't really remember... don't go to the cell lectures by Dr. F...they are awful... on our exam( don't know if it has changed) I think there were only 2 or 3 questions on all of the cell biology lectures (8 or 10 lectures) which a lot of people were upset they spend so much time studying
