So how is participation being marked for clinical skills?
According to the syllabus: "Attendance – lectures, hospital/clinic visits, small group discussion – 5% of points" and " One or more unexcused absence – 0% points" Does this mean that if we did not attend last Friday's lecture, we can expect a zero for participation? |

Kongakut: it's an all-or-none policy for that course, right?
And how'd you guys find that pathophys exam? I thought it was a bit more reasonable than the first exam, but I still managed to make a crap load of stupid mistakes. Anyways, just a reminder that tomorrow's exam is cumulative...and, yet, I still haven't started studying for that. Stupid pharm and random naps are consuming all my time. |

2nd pathophys exam
i thought the second exam was definitely more doable than the first.. though i am still frustrated because i don't think i did well.. the first exam was not really from the notes at all - there wasn't really a lot of physio. this one had so much acid base, and yes the prof did spend time on it but since the first exam was not physio intense or really from the notes i didn't spend as much time on it as i should have.. i also definitely felt the time crunch on this one.. though maybe more my own fault since the physio problems took a little more thought and time than some others. and i like to read the whole question since i do usually make good time through the test and this one had verry long stems for almost every question.
also they made bsfcr a separate packet this time (quesitons 1-30) then the pathophys part followed in a different packet. i thought some bsfcr questions belonged in the other section and vice versa. |

I thought this one was harder, though I can't really articulate why. I had more questions marked at the end compared to the first, and there were a lot more that I could get down to 2 answers but couldn't decide between them (and as we all know, a 50/50 decision means that 95% of the time you will choose wrong).
Though it could just be that I didn't go to any lectures this time around - did anyone notice if the questions were coming from the lectures this time?

How did they take attendance for that first lecture, the GI one, when Dr. M supposedly took it? I showed up late and answered the last clicker question but then some people were signing in on a sign-in sheet after class which I didn't stay for...so do both the sheet and clicker question count, or just the sheet?
