    Flying Air Jamaica after exams

Has anyone had any experience flying with Air Jamaica to JFK via Montago Bay the day after exams? I am considering booking this flight and I have heard that they overbook their flights. Any advice?

i booked the montego bay flight twice.........and they've cancelled my flight both times. When they rebook you they may put u on liat back home........or some other really inconvenient route.

The second time around .........when they cancelled my flight.......they offered to put me back on a flight with 4 layovers.

Moral of the story........just be careful with the whole montego bay flight plan

I booked that flight before and did not have any major problems except an hour delay. They do overbook them so they recommend you to arrive to the airport a little earlier. Last term my flight was supposed to be direct but for some reason we stopped at Montego Bay for refueling. They keep changing itineraries.

Some of us are not loaded with cash or from the States even, so if Air Jamaica is cheaper and shorter to get home than other carriers I have no choice. It's either that or like 5 connections.

    hey,

I've taken Air Jamaica twice now. Don't have as much experiance as others, but from what I have experianced its not the worst. The worst sounds like Liat. I'm assuming you're from Toronto "t-dot". Why not take the direct flight from GND to JFK and then fly air canada to toronto. You may have to chill out in the airport, but it beats 5 stop overs, as long as you pack a bunch of dvds. just a suggestion
