sgu clinic
hey all
so the other day i went to the clinic here. waited 2 hours...finally got to see the doctor about a swollen lymph node that hasnt gone down in two months and my god all i can say is i will NEVER go back to the clinic. this doctor was the opposite of what a doctor SHOULD be. I seriously did the whole diagnosis by myself. i literally was telling him what test i thought should be done. he checked that one lymph node with his middle finger and touched it for like 2 seconds and said "its fine" i mean im no doctor but shouldnt he have checked the entire neck for other lymph nodes? or maybe asked me some questions about past medical history? what kind of a med school has doctors in their clinics that would probably fail anatomy with dr. L. Seriously, i hate complaining about stuff but this guy was just something else. he was a tall, old grenadian man if anyone is curious...i dont even know his name as he did not introduce himself. i had a friend who they diagnosed with glaucoma here in greanda..went to the states and said he actually had migranes. Another situation was a girl who had appendicitis and they just couldnt get her diag right so she decided to fly back and within 1 day they found out she had an appendix the size of montana. im so [moderator edit] bye Last edited by orthonut; 09-09-2008 at 08:20 PM. I truly hope you feel better. Sorry that you had to wait 2 hours. Must be all them 1st and 4th termers trying to get medical excuses for upcoming tests. They really back up the clinic for people who have real problems. I remember hearing a girl going in last term because she got biten by a mosquito. She was told it probably wasn't going to turn into dengue fever and to try not to scratch. Guess what, it was nothing. Hang in there, we are going to to get off this island soon. doc
I believe the doc they are talking about had a gf/wife in grenada. He was FP in georgia for a while, left because of family problems, and came to gnd. I think he was actually grenadian. Last i heard he was stil in grenada, just no longer affiliated with the clinic. this is assuming we're talking about the same guy....

i have said it once and will say it again. its so embarassing for a med school to have an incompetent clinic like this. I understand we only learn basic science in Grenada but from the outside how bad does it look when some one hears stories like this.
