    MCAT Preparation

I took a 9 week prep course. But, I scored a 30 on my entrance practice exam and a 38 on the actual MCAT, so not sure if that's really representative of average.

(For those that wonder why I'm not at a Canadian/US med school, my 3.1 GPA was responsible for that.)

I took a Kaplan course, also scored a 38, but started at a 21. My undergrad GPA also scraped the bottom. Hooray for dysthymia!

At least my MCAT score got me a job with Kaplan afterwards...I was beginning to wonder if I'd be working for them for the rest of my life.

Most recent MCAT I took was 3 years after graduating college. Studied for about 6-8 weeks in the evenings after work & several hours on the weekends (since I was employed full time at a biotech company). Scored a 33T.

I had taken the MCAT previously around the time of college graduation, but I never took a review course; just grabbed a couple of review books and studied on my own.
